Rocca Di Montegrossi - Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16.9oz

In one of the most fascinating and suitable areas of the Chianti Classico area, near the hamlet of Monti in Chianti, about 7 km south of Gaiole in Chianti, there is the Rocca di Montegrossi company, whose owner, Marco Ricasoli- Firidolfi, is a descendant of the family he has written the history of the territory and Chianti Classico wine. The cellar is located near the Romanesque church of San Marcellino. The total extension of the company is 100 hectares, of which 20 are cultivated with vineyards, 20 with olive groves and the rest with woods. Even the olive groves of Rocca di Montegrossi are located in the land surrounding the company center, in a hilly area with excellent exposure, all favorable conditions for obtaining a high quality production. The Coreggiolo and Moraiolo varieties are grown in the company's olive groves (approx. 1,000 plants). The olive plants, in promiscuous cultivation with fruit trees, are bred, respecting the Chianti tradition, with the form of a polyconic pot breeding. Vines and olive trees have been in organic farming since 2006 (certified since 2010), and the whole company is oriented towards respect for the environment. For agricultural needs, for example, rainwater is collected so as not to have to use precious drinking water, and the means used for agronomic activities - when not done manually - are electric.
