Guy Larmandier - A Vertus - Champagne Brut Zero

Vertus Brut Cote des Blancs 1er Cru: A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir from Larmandier’s premier cru-designated home village of Vertus, this “classic” six-grams-per-liter disgorgement is a blend of two-thirds 2013 vintage and one-third 2012. Whereas this possesses slightly less of the driving limestone cut of the Cramant, it shows more roundness of texture—in keeping with the terroir of Vertus. Subtle notes of fig and green apple frame the satisfyingly broad and long palate, and the overall personality of the wine is generous and forward.  From Rosenthal.
