+ GRAPES: Blend of super old vine Garnacha and Tinto di Toro (a.k.a. Tempranillo) from Toro in Castilla y Leon in northwestern Spain

+ FUNDAMENTALS: Hand-harvested, destemmed, whole-cluster pressed. All wild yeast, followed by aging 14 months in used old barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without any added sulfur. A mere 1,000 cases produced this vintage. 

+ PROFILE: Dry. Medium-plus body. Dried wildflowers and warm cement on the nose. Flavors of forest berries, black currants, river stones, and fresh potting soil. Notable tannins. Integrated oak.
